Turning Stone Resort and Casino has now launched the New York Rec and Social Club and the objective is to take the sports betting experience up a notch. NY Rec Nightlife Manager Shawnna Popluhar has recently shared that the casino plans to have the new entertainment venue stand out from the rest of sports betting areas found across the Empire State.
The gambling resort is owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation of New York and it is located at 5218 Patrick Rd, Verona, NY 13478. It offers world-class gaming, dining, hotel stays, recreation and so much more to its many patrons. There are 2,000 slots, 66 table games, a Bingo Hall, and an enormous poker room for the guests to enjoy.
Now Open for Guests
New York Rec and Social Club officially opened its doors for patrons on 12 月 18 日, 2023, and it replaced the resort’s previous Lave Nightclub located in the Exit 33 wing. It is equipped with 60 HD TVs and also offers table betting games, such as blackjack and craps. According to the casino, the new lounge can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Ms. Popluhar said the venue has a little bit of everything, which makes it stand out from any sports betting area in the state. She explained the amenity is one part sports lounge, one part gastropub, and one part nightlife. She added that thanks to the 60 HD TVs, guests will be able to enjoy their favourite games from basically anywhere in the new venue.
The venue is unique as it offers something for everybody’s liking, as it provides social game options, such as pool and darts, and the already mentioned blackjack and craps. For guests not into playing or betting, there is a full-scale restaurant in the venue. Its first floor can accommodate up to 200 people while the second is used to host private events.
According to a poll by market research company Ipsos, around 69% of sports bettors are men and more than half are Caucasian. Ms. Popluhar is hopeful that the new venue can make an already booming industry more diverse by welcoming people with different interests. In her words, it would broaden the horizons for sports fans and bettors, as it invites more people.
In addition to that, she added that similar amenities like this one in Verona could launch across the state in the future. Lastly, she claimed that at the end of the day, the point of New York Rec and Social Club is to enhance sports betting opportunities. The casino also plans on opening an outdoor seating area at the venue, which will most likely happen in the upcoming spring.
Renovation Plan is in Play
The launch of NY Rec & Social Club is part of Oneida Nation’s US$370 million renovation 规划 for the gambling resort. Its project includes a new hotel, enhanced conference center and other additional dining and entertainment venues. It is also on course to be the largest expansion at the gambling resort since its launch 30 years ago.
